These come from Minnesota, and frequently have diamond-like indentations which will show deep brown when the bark is peeled from the sticks, contrasting to the creamy white surface of the wood. The smaller sticks are best peeled and finished whereas the larger sticks have more wood available to carve and decorate. We have two different lengths of Diamond Willow. The shorter lengths are approximately 36" and are perfect for canes where the longer lengths are approximately 55"-60" and are for walking sticks and staffs. Each length comes either large (2"-3" Diameter) for carving and decorating or small(1"-2" Diameter) for use without much carving.
